Thomson Main is a Marine Corps veteran and Georgia Tech biomedical engineering student whose experiences have inspired a mission to improve healthcare access in developing nations. Motivated by the loss of his mother to cancer in Kenya and limited access to advanced medical equipment, Maina hopes to help expand diagnostic and treatment capabilities in underserved communities through his future work in biomedical engineering.
